Hello!
This week's image is "Wee Henry Karate" it is a digital image from Hambo Stamps. So CUTE!
I used a chevron mask then sprayed Coffee Shop Glimmer Mist over the top. I cut two pieces of card stock (kraft and the chevron) the same size and sewed them together. I then tore the edge of the chevron paper.
Have a wonderful week!

Messenger Bag
It's BACK TO SCHOOL time around here !!!!! I asked my daughter if she wanted me to make her a school bag. She chose the pattern and the fabrics.
The pattern is Butterick B5694 view D.
Sorry....every time I rotate this pic. then try to upload it it turns back on the side. OF COURSE! ANYWHO, she chose the blue and orange fabrics for the inside because those are her school colors.
Next time, I think I will change the direction of one of the magnetic snap tabs. It is awkward the way it closes now.
This is a pic of the back of the bag.
For the interfacing on this bag I used the really, really stiff sew in pellon interfacing. I don't know the exact number of Pellon it is.
For the closure, I used elastic stretchy cord--it was originally from a hoodie that had a draw string bottom. I have several pieces of this type of cord that was given to me. So, I'm always trying to think of projects to use it on. I made an oops and put the button closure on the front of the bag instead of the bag flap. I don't think anyone will know. :) Until now that is.

Keisha
It has been a sad week around here. We had to put our very first "baby" to sleep. She was around before we had kids. She moved with us all across the country and back again.
I remember seeing her and all her litter mates...she was the only girl. So, we picked her. She was feisty yet very sweet. She will be missed.

Dog Blanket
I made this quick dog blanket for my nephew for his birthday. He is undergoing treatment for Leukemia. So, I thought he could use a soft blanket to cuddle-up in on those not so great days.
I used some fleece that I had in my stash for the outside and red flannel for the lining.
The pattern had you use store bough eyes. On this blanket I cut out a 1" circle from black fleece (the same thing I used for the nose), and satin stitched around the circle instead of the store bought eyes.
I also didn't stuff the ears...I left them so they would be floppy.
I couldn't believe how fast this went together.

Hello,
This week I decided to use the digital image "Goat" from Hambo Stamps.
The three in a row I used were: blue, twine, and charm.
I hope you have a great week!
