Make It Monday-Reflected Sentiments

I learned something new with this week's Make It Monday Challenge.  I searched through all my PTI stamps and didn't find many that I own that work with this technique.  I had fun trying anyway.
I tried to work fast but my ink kept drying before I could place it and press.  I used ink that usually takes longer to dry.    Who knows, maybe it is the weather.  :)  Ya, I'll blame the weather.
I used Paper Trey Ink's Button Boutique, It's A Celebration and Year of Flowers-Roses stamp sets.

Make It Monday-Card Aisle Inspiration

This week's Make It Monday Challenge is such a great idea!  Unfortunately, I get in trouble if I get caught shopping in the card aisle..something having to do with all this crafting stuff I have.  So, I did some shopping  online.  I used this as my inspiration.

I used Iconic Images and Garden of Life stamp sets from Paper Trey Ink.

MIM #65-It's Your Day

Read all about this week's Make It Monday.  This challenge has great timing.  I'd just finished telling myself (yep...hold my own conversations) that I need to either use up or toss my overstuffed scrap drawer.  I also need to make a card for my husband's grandmother, for Mother's Day.

I had fun piecing together the background.
I stamped lemons in white on the orange card stock...doesn't show up very well in this pic.
Hope everyone has a wonderful week...and the best Mother's Day EVER!  :)

Supplies:
Stamps:  PTI-Friendship Jar, Friendship Jar Fillers

MIM-Color Inspiration-Mom

This week's MIM Challenge is very informative.

I like all the wonderful color schemes....I might have to try another one.
Here is the color scheme I used:
This is what I came up with:

I didn't have any chevron stamps. I managed to find a tutorial on how to fold them.  Tutorial here.
Then I decided I didn't like the "Mom"...well, I guess I'll work on that later.
Supplies:
Dies:  PTI-Bloom Builders #2, Buttons, Sizzix-Script alpha, photo corner.

MIM #63-Glitter Dies-Thanks

This week's Make it Monday Challenge is another one of those things where I think, "why didn't I think of doing that?"  :)

I only have a few colors of glitter...but the same color glitter looks different with different colors of cardstock underneath.
I had a difficult time taking a picture of this card.  LOL!
See???...oh well.
Have a great week!

Celebrate Today-MIM #61

It's Monday and time for another fun Make It Monday Challenge.  I love flowers!  I had lots of fun with this week's challenge to use non flower dies to make a flower.
To make my flower I punched a 1 1/4" circle.  I covered this circle with glue.
For the petals I used one of PTI's Doily Details Dies.  I cut 3 doily's.  I cut them in half then scrunched them up and applied them to the glued circle.  I for the center I punched a 1 1/4" circle out of yellow.  I cut slits all around it and applied it to the center of the petals.  I added a pearl to the center.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  PTI-Friendship Jar, Polka Dot Basics, EK Success-tag
Dies:  PTI-Mat Stack 4, Doily Details Collection, Sizzix-Leaves
Punches:  EK Success-Tag, 1 1/4" circle

It has been a while since I've created anything.  We've been busy with moving and all that...stuff.
Then I managed to lose my mojo for creating.  Finally, I managed to make a card this afternoon.  Whoo HOOOO!  I still am not feeling too creative.  I'm just happy I managed to do something other than sit and stare into space.  :)
Here is my card for this week's MIM.

Hope You Can Cling To-Week #2

"Hang in There!" Challenge

This challenge was to have something hanging.  I used the Cricut Serenade Cartridge to cut the bird cage.  I stamped the flourish and the "beauty".  Made an oops!  Tried several fixes...nothing has been working...any suggestions?

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Fancy Pants-(don't know the name of the set)
Cricut-Serenade

"Things are looking up!" Challenge

For this challenge we are to make a card that uses things we see when we look up.  I immediately thought of this stamp with the child looking up.  I've had it for quite awhile.  Took me awhile to decide what I had that he could look up to.  I thought clouds...but I didn't want it to be a depressing card.  So, I thought clouds that are silver.  When I went to pull out my silver ink pad...it had melted.  LOL!  So, then I thought for a little while and I decided to heat emboss with silver powder.  I had the clouds done...I liked.  But I thought it needed more bling.  So, I added diamond stickles to the dots on the umbrella.  I then used some sparkly blue embossing powder for the puddle the image is standing in.
Supplies Used:
Stamps:  MFT-Rain or Shine, Eureka Stamps-Boy Looking Up, Cornish Heritage Farms-Vintage text
Dies:  Spellbinders Nestabilities-Labels two
Stickles-Diamond
Embossing Powder-Mixtures from a LSS.

"Hang in There" Challenge-revisited see this post.   Challenge is to hang something on the card.  I hung the tag.

"Bosom Buddies" Challenge
See this post.  We were to make a friendship themed card that incorporates ribbon and pink.

"Fight Like A Girl" Challenge
For this challenge we were to make a card that is all girl.
For the flower I resized a flower shape on the printer...then cut out.  I embossed the petals then curled the ends with a chopstick.
For the lace I heat embossed using black distress ink.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Penny Black-Antique Pattern
Punch: Martha Stewart Crafts
Bling:  stash
Embossing Powder:  Ranger-Black Soot Distress Powder
Embossing Plate:  PTI-Linnen

"Brave Heart" Challenge

For this challenge we were to add a heart to our card.  I had flowers left over from this card.  They were sitting on my desk so I added them to this card.  :)

Supplies:
Stamps:  PTI-Polka Dot Basics, Garden of Life, Great Impressions-?
Coluzzle:  Heart
Decorative Scissors:  Provo Craft-grass

"Butterflies of Hope" Challenge

This challenge was to use a butterfly on a card.  I found this at the Graphics Fairy.  I could spend days...months...years looking at all the great things on her blog.  Oh how I LOVE vintage images.

Supplies Used:
Butterfly image:  The Graphics Fairy
Stamps:  Stampendous-Take Note, PTI-Polka Dot Basics, Limited Editon-tag
Decorative Scissors: Provo Craft-Scalloped, Deckle

"It Touches All of Us" Challenge
This challenge is to make a pink collage.  To be honest I was a little intimated about doing doing a collage.  But it was so much fun.  At least I think I did a collage.
Since I have a thing for dress forms lately. (see here)  It's no surprise I had to use this Tim Holtz stamp set.
Supplies:
