My Favorite Bag-Kati Cupcake

One of my neighbors is expecting a boy.  So, I decided to make her a diaper bag (hope she likes).  I had a difficult time trying to decide the style of bag to make.  Finally, I chose the My Favorite Bag Pattern by Kati Cupcake.  This bag is PERFECT!  At least I hope she thinks so.  :)
Before I began I had read reviews on this pattern.  Many had stated that the bag is much bigger than it appears in pictures.  This is true, but I think it will be great to tote around all those baby necessities.

I used a heavy weight interfacing instead of all the batting, etc. called for in the pattern.   I attached interfacing to the front/back main and front back lining pieces, as well as the front/back pocket and front back pocket lining pieces.  I added a piece of needle point canvas to the bottom but did not add all the extra interfacing.
I think I'm going to have to make one for myself, when I find the time.

Faces--Amira Bag

Wow!  I didn't think I'd be able to make another bag in time for the end of Purse Palooza 2012....but I did!!  :)  My plans for today got rained-out.   I made this bag in about 5 hours (maybe a little less).  It helps that I used the pattern a few days ago.
The pattern is "Amira Bag" from Kati Cupcake.  The fabric with the faces is from IKEA.

I made this a cross body bag, again.

Ghastlie Amira Bag

Hello again!
As I was searching to find a bag pattern that would look good with the "A Ghastlie Family Reunion" by The Alexander Henry Fabrics Collection fabric my mother had bought, I came across the "Amria Bag" Pattern by Kati Cupcake.
Looong strap.
This is the bag I made.  I only made a few slight changes when making the bag.  I made the strap long enough to be cross body.  I also added a piece of plastic in the bottom to make it stiffer...OH!   I also made the length of the bag longer...so that I could fit the design of the fabric on the bag without out making  it look too silly.

The inside.
The inside of the bag has one BIIIIG slip pocket.

I really love many of the bag patterns that Kati Cupcake offers.  I think this might be the first Kati Cupcake Bag I've made.  The instructions were easy to follow.  There weren't a lot of pics. in the instructions, but I don't think it is necessary for this bag.  It is fairly simple bag to make.

For the fabric of this bag I used quilting weight cotton and heavy fusible interfacing.

Have a great day!
